Entre ombres et lumières, Emal capture l’instant d’un mouvement sensible avec précision. Son univers photographique aspire à représenter les minorités et explore des thématiques sociales telles que le genre, l’identité ou encore le travail du sexe, comme en témoignent ses récents documentaires. Il travaille actuellement sur un projet intitulé Safe Place, un documentaire centré sur les identités non-cisgenres, pour lequel il a interviewé des personnes en Suisse romande, à Bruxelles, Berlin et Amsterdam.
Dans le cadre de ses mandats, il documente la scène artistique sous toutes ses formes, les restaurants de la région ainsi que des portraits aussi riches que variés. Membre de l’Atelier 207 à Cossonay, il développe également son travail en studio, poursuivant une recherche esthétique entre intimité et expression.

Between shadows and lights, Emal captures the moment of sensitive movement with precision. His photographic universe aspires to represent minorities and explores social themes such as gender, identity, and sex work, as evidenced by his recent documentaries. He is currently working on a project entitled "Safe Place," a documentary focusing on non-cisgender identities, for which he interviewed people in French-speaking Switzerland, Brussels, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
As part of his assignments, he documents the art scene in all its forms, the region's restaurants, and produces rich and varied portraits. A member of Atelier 207 in Cossonay, he also develops his work in the studio, pursuing an aesthetic exploration between intimacy and expression.
